Sreesanth Is Back
I think he was putting a lot of emphasis on keeping his emotions under control. He should have known by now that this would hamper his performance. His performance down-under was surely not upto what he can do on seamer-friendly wickets. He was not impressive even on the First Day’s play of the on-going Test Series at Chennai.
By now he should know that he gives his best only when he is fired up. When this happens, he gives his best shot and plays to his maximum potential. Same thing happened today when Abraham deVillers tried charging him by backing away from the stumps. He was fired up for the entire over. He bowled beautifully during that over and picked up de Villers ultimately of the final ball of the same over.
The Umpires had a word with Anil Kumble during the course. Things could have gone worse with Sreesanth preparing for a farewell for deVillers. But then, Yuvraj Singh did well to just divert Sreesanth by giving him a hug and taking him away. This surely helped Sreesanth from meeting the Match Refree.
