$20 Million Match
These days, lots of money is being put into Cricket. We saw Stanford T20 being started in West Indies recently and it went on successfully. It is being sponsored by a Texan Billionaire, Allen Stanford, who has put in lots of money for the game. He had made offers to the Indian Team and the South African Team who declined the offer.
Now he has come forward with an offer of USD 20 Million for a one-off match against the All-Star West Indies XI team to the ECB. England are scheduled to tour West Indies next winter and this has been proposed for then. It will be interesting to see what ECB decides when Stanford is set to meet them regarding the same. Lets see what happens.
