A Dot Ball Means More Than Gold
This is the bowling analysis of Sanath Jayasuriya in the match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkatta Knight Riders which saw the Mumbai Indians win their first game of the campaign. They needed some inspiring performances and this should have been the one that they were waiting for. Clearly the senior most player in the side has proved his worth with the ball and lets hope it won’t be too long before he gets going with the bat.
Sachin Tendulkar should be fit for the next game and this will boost their confidence. What was impressive about yesterday’s game was that three of the four International stars were shining bright. Shaun Pollock picked crucial wickets followed by this tremendous spell from Jayasuriya and then a display with the bat by Dwayne Bravo. Just see the percentage of dot balls in the above chart. Jayasuriya must be a happy man after recording 56% of dot balls and conceding just one boundary.
