A Possible Fairytale

Everyone might be left dumb-struck next summer during the Ashes. Well if you are thinking what might be that one surprise which might happen, it is Shane Warne playing the game for the Aussies. Shane Warne hinted that he might play the next edition of the Ashes if his team requires him to play if they aren’t in a position to find a proper replacement for Warne. Currently Stuar MacGill is thier only frontline spinner in the fray.

This summer, MacGill had a torrid time against the Sri Lankans and was then injured before the India series. Tha left Brad Hogg to take the responsibilty. Shane Warne said that he was still hungry for more at the big stage. He said he chose to retire because his life-style demanded him to do that. He was quoted saying, “If Stuey MacGill fell over and broke his leg, and there were no other spinners around, and Ricky came out and said, ‘Mate, can you please help us out for this one-off tour? We need you’, that is something I would weigh up.”

Thats a surprise, ain’t it? Warne is one of the outstanding performers in the current edition of IPL having grabbed 14 wickets at 18.78 a piece. Thats terrific figures in T20 cricket. However for time being Stuart MacGill has been called up for the tour of West Indies along with a left arm spinner named Beau Casson from New South Wales who has got his first call-up for a National Duty.

It is possible as it is an individuals decision to make a comeback. If Cricket Australia have faith in him, who knows? He might come back to haunt the English Batsmen.
