ECB To Change Domestic Structure Radically

The success story of IPL has left many boards thinking. They must be wondering about how they never managed to think like this. But its too late and IPL leads the modern day Cricket. ECB has been the most hurt as they were the ones with a strong domestic structure and they were the one to implement the idea of Foreign players in the squad. But now, their own structure is about to collapse if not repaired.

One of the first things that has been proposed is that they have planned to change their Domestic T20 competition with 21 teams. Next on the cards is that their Pro40 league will consist of two 20-over innings. This will probably be a test match like thing with two innings.

Then comes their proposed EPL, a reply to IPL. This will have lesser teams as clubs will be combined to form the teams. This however seems to be bringing a lot of criticism from the Club owners. Along with this, ECB have also been committed to a four-nation quadrangular T20 tournament to be sponsored by Texan billionaire Allen Stanford.

Clearly, ECB is feeling all the pressure due to the success story of IPL. Catch up soon. But my piece of advice will be to keep their structure as it as because it is still famous for its uniqueness.
